From Eclipse S-CORE to production-ready SDV middleware: Qorix demonstrates deterministic platform architectures at embedded world 2026
  • Deterministic, multi-domain architectures on centralized computing platforms, supplemented by AI-supported engineering.
  • Visit us live at embedded world 2026 in Nuremberg, Germany
    (Booth 4-442, March 10–12).

Munich (Germany) – Eclipse S-CORE, an open-source project within the Eclipse SDV Working Group, is becoming an essential component of software-defined vehicle architectures. At embedded world 2026, Qorix will demonstrate the further development of Eclipse S-CORE-based middleware to achieve production readiness and qualification for real SDV programs, offering deterministic behavior, high efficiency, and a clear focus on functional safety.

Deterministic Multi-Domain Execution on Centralized Platforms
The focus is on a Performance demonstrator on an ECARX centralized high-performance computing platform. It shows how different vehicle domains can operate on shared hardware under controlled, deterministic conditions. The goal is to minimize system complexity while maintaining clear boundaries and consistent behavior.

Integrating Automotive Linux into Controlled, Safety-Relevant System Architectures
Another demonstrator, implemented with Red Hat, shows how Automotive Linux can be integrated into a centralized vehicle architecture with clearly defined, controlled system boundaries using the Qorix Performance Stack. The focus is on achieving deterministic and reproducible system execution in architectures with varying safety requirements.

AI-Supported Engineering to Reduce Integration Effort
Qorix also presents Qorix Developer, an engineering tool with AI functionalities that supports AUTOSAR Classic and Adaptive configurations, as well as CI-based integration processes. The tool focuses on reducing configuration complexity, supporting CI-based processes, and accelerating integration cycles in SDV programs.

Qorix’s Role in the Eclipse S-CORE Project
Qorix plays an active role in the Eclipse S-CORE project within the Eclipse SDV Working Group. The company is also responsible for the industrial qualification of the stack. This includes integration, validation, and documentation in the context of functional safety.

As part of the conference program, Lars Bauhofer, Qorix’s Product & Program Manager, will speak on March 10 at 2:45 p.m. in the “Software & Systems Engineering” track on the topic: “From Open Source to Automotive-Grade: Distributing Eclipse S-CORE for Safety-Critical and Real-Time Embedded Systems.”

About the Eclipse S-CORE project
S-CORE (Safe Open Vehicle Core) is an open-source project within the Software-Defined Vehicle (SDV) Working Group of the Eclipse Foundation. Its goal is to develop common middleware for SDVs. This middleware forms the non-differentiating core of a modern vehicle software stack, enabling the modular, interoperable, and scalable development of safety-related components. Leading companies in the automotive and software industries support the project. The open-source approach promotes reuse, standardization, and faster development. It creates a foundation for a sustainable, common software base for the industry that is open, secure, and future-proof.
