🗓️ September 23–24, 2026 |📍Graz, Austria |
Today and tomorrow, our colleague Paula Herzog, Head of Product Program Management, takes part in the AI4SDV kickoff in Graz, sharing an idea we believe in: the pace of innovation and the pace of funding should move together.
Since Eclipse S-CORE went public in June 2025, the project has shipped nine real releases and is now heading toward v1.0. Public funding processes, understandably, often need more time to work through their own careful steps. That is exactly the gap AI4SDV wants to help close, not by pointing fingers, but by testing new ground together with the EU.
From a Tier-1 perspective, the project aims for real industrial use cases at TRL 6 to 7, not lab demos, an open, interoperable European reference architecture connecting OEMs, Tier-1s, and tool providers, AI that assessors can trust, and a funding process that adapts alongside the technology it supports.
Over the next six months, the plan includes Eclipse S-CORE running as the shared technical foundation, the technical concept signed off, a first certification conversation, and a rolling review pilot with the EU itself as the test case.
Our colleague Suresh Chamuah also leads one of the event’s workshops, contributing hands-on expertise to the group’s work.
