From open source to production: How Qorix and Red Hat close the gap for OEMs
Although the automotive industry is embracing open-source middleware as the foundation for next-generation vehicle software, open-source availability does not necessarily equate to production readiness. The gap between community code and a certified, supported, series-deployable stack is exactly where OEMs and Tier-1s lose time and budget.
In this session, Red Hat and Qorix show how that gap closes. Red Hat In-Vehicle OS provides a certified, ASIL-B qualified Linux foundation with container-based mixed-criticality separation. Qorix brings Eclipse S-CORE — the open-source middleware standard for safety-critical SDV platforms — to production, as one of its leading contributors and as the distribution partner that engineers it for series deployment. With S-CORE 0.7 released and version 1.0 on the horizon, Qorix and Red Hat are establishing themselves as the reference integration for OEMs ready to move from evaluation to production.
Attendees will learn what this partnership means in practice: what it takes to go from open-source foundation to a supported, certified, deployable stack — and why doing it with the right partners saves significant cost, risk, and engineering effort.
